The Herzegovina region, especially the karst plateau Brotno and the area of Citluk, is the cradle of wine production. The first wine seeds have been sown by the Thracians tribes in ancient times. Today almost every family in this municipality upholds the long tradition of wine cultivation. The best grape varietes of this area are Blatina and Zilavka. On the Wine Rout Herzegovina there are a lot of places which are worth visiting. Not only are the private houses opened to the visitors, but also 14 Brotnjo wine cellars, restaurants, hotels, museums and galleries.

Let us take you to the charming places where people live in harmony with nature. The beautiful area of Herzegovinian settlements and villages, the landscapes of vineyards and olive groves invite to discover this region and give opportunities to feel the scent of the past during trying local wines. You will visit the stone winyads and get to know how wines are produced. You will visit two wine cellars, which one of them will be the Cellar Andrija – the family house where wines has been produced for generations. The family atmosphere of this place, tasty food and excellent wines are the genuine sample of what the herzegovinian wine heritage is.
